Palestine promises to prevent further Arab-Israel normalization of ties

The Palestinian leadership is taking action in order to "prevent more Arab countries from normalizing relations with Israel", a top official stated.
"The normalization agreements that both the United Arab
Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain signed with Israel are based on the principle of
peace for protection," said Saeb Erekat, secretary-general of Palestine
Liberation Organization Executive Committee.
It is an important responsibility of the Arab states and the
Organization of Islamic Cooperation to act in accordance with their decisions
on committing to the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative, he remarked.
Based on the Arab Peace Initiative, the Arab states can
normalize relations with Israel only after Israel put an end to its military annexation
of the Arab territories.
Erekat stated that the Palestinian leadership will put forth
19 resolutions to the UN General Assembly at its upcoming meeting, including
"the confirmation of the two-state solution and the previous resolutions
of the international legitimacy related to the Palestinian cause".
The Palestinian leadership "is expecting significant
international support for the Palestinian resolutions", he commented.
These remarks of his came after Israel signed normalization agreements
with the UAE and Bahrain at the White House this September.
US President Donald Trump once again joined Israeli Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed
al-Nahyan and Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani in an
official ceremony where the signing of the three-way agreements took place.
The official ceremony, held at the White House, formally introduced
the UAE and Bahrain as the third and the fourth Arab nation to establish normalized
diplomatic ties with Israel.
Previously, Egypt and Jordan signed their peace deals with
Israel back in 1979 and 1994, respectively.
But this blatant betrayal by said Arab states seems to have only strengthened the resolve of the strong Palestinian nation to continue their fight against the cancerous Israeli regime.
