Nigeria: Sheikh Zakzaky's wife tests positive for Covid-19 in prison
Mohammed Ibraheem Zakzaky the son of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria has written an open letter explaining the critical health condition of his mother Zeenah Ibraheem after she tested positive the coronavirus.
More again, Ibraheem Zakzaky claimed in his letter that the deputy controller of prison and his most immediate superior " granted unrestricted access for all medical staff to deliver primary care" to his mother.
The worried son, claimed in his letter, three days after being tested positive, his mother was yet to be hospitalized. He claimed to be "completely helpless and powerless" to save his infected mother.
On the other hand, it is important to note that Shekh Zakzaki's wife has been denied of other treatment related to acute medical conditions such as arthritis.
The Nigerian authority's scandalous act of denying access to medical care can be described as violation of human rights and discrimination.
However, Sheikh Zakzaki's family members are not ready to remain silent or to be weakened by the government.
