Iran and Kenya vow to boost their economic cooperation

Kenya and the Islamic Republic of Iran have vowed to boost their economic ties. A Kenyan business delegation visiting Kashan, central Iran, met with the Kashan Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture members to expand economic cooperation.

Fifteen active businessmen and traders involved in agriculture in Muranga County, Kenya, including two members of the County Assembly, visited some production and industrial units in Kashan, Aran, and Bidgol on Tuesday night.

Bahauddin Hosseini, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, who participated in the meeting, said: "The two sides stressed cooperation to exchange economic activities."

"The Kenyan delegation also had talks with some activists in the private sector in Kashan, which will lead to a contract in the near future," he added.

The head of the Kenyan delegation, emphasizing that his country's trade with Iran can be expanded in all areas, added: "The Kenyan delegation consisting of traders active in tea and coffee production, expressed their interest in cooperating with Kashan merchants."

The Kenyan businessmen visiting Iran have also invited Kashani merchants to visit the East African country.
