IRGC Cmdr.: Axis of Resistance thwarting enemy plots in Islamic countries
The Commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says the Axis of Resistance is chasing enemies out of Islamic countries and has thwarted their plots.
Speaking in Qum at a ceremony held on Thursday marking the second martyrdom anniversary of General Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) deputy head Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, Major General Hossein Salami stressed that if Axis of Resistance had not shaped in the region, the enemies would have invaded all Islamic countries.
General Salami noted: "Through the assassination of General Soleimani, the enemy sought to undermine the Axis of Resistance front, but thanks to the blessed blood of Martyr Soleimani, the Axis of Resistance became more powerful and stronger than before."
The top anti-terror commanders were assassinated along with their companions in a US drone strike authorized by former President Donald Trump near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020.
They were highly popular because of the key role they played in eliminating the Daesh terrorist group in the region, particularly in Iraq and Syria.
Two days after the martyrdom of Soleimani and his companions, Iraqi lawmakers approved a bill, demanding the withdrawal of all foreign military forces led by the United States from the country.
