Iran’s president: Africa has high quality human capital that can develop continent
Iranian president Ebrahim Raeisi said Tuesday that African countries, beyond their rich resources, have high quality human capital, who can play an effective role in the development of the continent.
The president made the comments during a meeting with Equatorial Guinea’s President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, on the sidelines of the 11-nation Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), in Doha, Qatar.
"Western countries have maintained their colonial nature and have only changed their colonial methods," Raeisi said.
"In the eyes of the Islamic Republic, African countries have great potential for development," he said. "We are ready to cooperate and develop relations with African countries in various fields, including the export of technical and engineering services to these countries, including tropical Guinea."
“Western countries and the United States have only pursued their own interests in countries around the world, but African nations should not allow the West and the US to recolonize the continent, relying on years of experience of Western colonialism.”
