Western media publish fake news about burning of Imam Khomeini's Old House
While Western media outlets hostile to Iran have published fake news about the burning of the historical house of Imam Khomeini in the city of Khomein by rioters, reporters on the scene have confirmed that this was fake news and the museum is accepting visitors and operating as usual.
Many videos have been doing rounds on social media, some of them either fake or old, circulated with the intention to stoke tensions at this sensitive time. Interestingly, many notorious Iran-bashers in the West have also jumped on the bandwagon to push their nefarious agendas.
Foreign-backed riots have hit various Iranian provinces since 22-year-old woman Mahsa Amini died in hospital on September 16, three days after she collapsed in a police station. An investigation has attributed Amini’s death to her medical condition, rather than alleged beatings by police forces.
The violent riots, meanwhile, have claimed the lives of dozens of people and security forces, while also allowing terrorist attacks across the country. In the last two months, the terrorists have set fire to public property and tortured several Basij members and security forces to death.
