Iran’s Islamic Revolution, an inspiration for Africa

This year Iran is marking the 44th anniversary of the victory of Iran's Islamic Revolution in 1979.

This revolution inspired many across the world, especially the people of Africa, who have for centuries suffered from exploitation by Western colonial powers.

The Islamic Revolution is being marked this year amid moves by several African countries to follow Iran’s footsteps in resisting imperialism and neocolonialism.
