Iran foreign minister says dual-national Iranians are opportunity for country
Iran’s foreign minister says Tehran never considered dual-national Iranians: a threat, but view their presence an opportunity for Iran and an opportunity for the whole world.
Iran’s top diplomat made the remarks on Monday at a meeting of the consular working group regarding dual-national Iranians.
Amir Abdollahian said the consular working group is obliged to provide high-quality consular services to Iranians.
He said based on available statistics, 5.2 million Iranians live abroad and have visited our embassies and consular offices at least once.
Amir Abdollahian said Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, always places special emphasis on the issue of Iranians abroad.
"Don't forget the Iranians abroad, these are Iran's children and we must make their relationship with Iran stronger every day, their children should be able to easily communicate with Iran, the new generations both in preserving the Persian language and in maintaining their relationship with the land. mothers should have the necessary facilities,” Iran’s foreign minister quoted the Supreme Leader as saying.
