Condolences on martyrdom anniv. of Lady Fatima

Islam’s faithful followers throughout the world observe the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatima Zahra (S.A), the revered daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

People from all walks of life attended mourning ceremonies in different cities and towns across the globe to pay tribute to Lady Fatima Zahra, who was also the wife of the first Shia Imam, Ali Ibn-e- Abi Talib.

The mourning ceremonies include reciting verses from the Holy Quran, congregational prayers, and lectures on the life and sacrifices of the daughter of Islam’s prophet. This year’s martyrdom anniversary of the revered daughter of the great prophet coincides with December 17.

While highlighting the voluble contributions of Islam’s greatest lady, religious scholars said Fatima Zahra is one of the five holy ladies in the history of the world and has a very high position in Islam.

Some mourners also donate food to people in need to mark the occasion. They say that helping others in need is the lesson given to all Muslims by the Prophet Mohammad and his infallible household.

Iran, Iraq, Pakistan and Lebanon are among the Muslim countries marking the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatima Zahra.

While honoring her immense sacrifices and services in the path of Islam, participants in the ceremonies described Lady Fatima Zahra as the best role model not only for Muslims, but for followers of all religions.
